Arts Access Australia is the peak national body for arts and disability. Established in 1992, AAA is a disability-led organisation (CEO and 50% of board members are people with disability) that works to advance equality for Australians with disability as artists, arts workers, participants and audiences, through information, resources, research and advocacy.

AAA is the only national arts and disability organisation in the country to be disability-led and so is uniquely qualified to be the national voice for artists, arts workers and audiences with disability.

AAA enjoys a growing reputation for its success in delivering innovative programs which push the boundaries. These capitalise on the strengths of its board and staff, to maximise impact, building awareness of arts and disability within all levels of government, across the arts and cultural sector, and in the broader community.

Be Uplifted is a unique boutique breast cancer charity that seeks to improve the lives of women, men and their families experiencing difficulty or disadvantage as a consequence of breast cancer such as poverty, illness or such. We provide funds enabling them to access services, programs, pay bills and receive goods or assistance to alleviate that difficulty or disadvantage.

We receive our recipients from North West Hospital, Holy Spirit Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital and Caboolture Private Hospital.
Be Uplifted Inc. came into existence as a consequence of two friends walking their own breast cancer journeys. The impact of the financial costs of the journey of one of the women, a solo mum, prompted the other to organise fundraisers to assist her meet the unplanned and unexpected costs her journey involved.
As time progressed Be Uplifted Inc. was formed and its focus is ‘the costs of breast cancer’. WE ARE ABOUT PEOPLE NOT RESEARCH.

One in three women will be diagnosed with cancer before they reach the age of eighty-five, the highest percentage of those women will suffer breast cancer. In recent years there have been a number of charities formed connected to breast cancer and many companies contribute to their nation-wide appeals. However the majority of these groups focus on research or patient care with minimal assistance being given towards the ‘costs’ encountered.

Books 4 Comfort is about creating a safe and comfortable environment for children and families that have been affected by Domestic Violence. We are wanting to provide each child with a beautiful book they can love, hug, read, smell, touch, believe and call their own and to give children their very own ‘Reading Pillow” that they can decorate and call their own. A relatively new organisation, Books for Comfort will also be aiming to create comfortable and safe reading corners within Community organisations such as DV Contact Centres and various Community Centres.

Bottle for Botol is a social enterprise located in Australia and Indonesia that partners students in both countries to work towards creating a generational change against single-use plastics. Through our school-based program, students in Australia learn about sustainability and plastic waste, cultural understanding and social enterprise. They sell our student-designed stainless steel water bottles to their local communities, and for every one sold, we donate a botol to a student in their partner school in Indonesia to help them switch from purchasing single-use plastic aqua cups to refillable water bottles and gallon dispensers at the school canteen. Indonesian students also receive an eight-week environmental education program and are engaged in a cross-cultural dialogue with their Australian partner school students. Our goal is to eliminate single-use plastics in each of our participating Indonesian schools and beyond, significantly reducing the amount of plastic waste entering our oceans.

Can Assist is a grass roots, community based charity dedicated to supporting country NSW people and their families affected by cancer. Due to travel and accommodation expenses, it can easily cost a country family affected by cancer up to five times more than a city family just to access treatment. The reality is that many country mums and dads simply can’t afford treatment, let alone the weeks spent away from their family and work.

Our vision is that every country community, family and individual should have equitable access to cancer care and support services.

We provide financial assistance & accommodation to bridge the gap between city and country cancer patients, giving people with cancer in rural, regional and non-metropolitan areas in NSW the opportunity to have fair and equitable access to cancer care and support services.

Through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers across NSW and the generosity of individuals and communities, Can Assist is able to make a real difference to country families affected by cancer.

Thank you for your support!

Every year, more than 25 000 Queenslanders hear the news that they have cancer. We're here to ensure no-one faces their cancer journey alone.

As Queensland's leading non-government community organisation dedicated to serving the community in cancer control, we rely on community support to fund the vital research, community education and patient care programs required to achieve our mission. Each year we invest heavily in cancer research, with the aim to improve our knowledge of the causes of cancer. The support we offer cancer patients includes our Cancer Counselling Service, free accommodation for regional and rural patients and practical support. None of this would be possible without the outstanding generosity of our supporters across Queensland. Every dollar takes us a step closer to seeing our dream of a cancer free future being realised.
